Hi loves! Today I am sharing something very very important! As you have seen the picture you must be thinking a sunscreen post in winters? Where we hardly see any sun! Many people avoid using sunscreens in winters thinking you don't need any sunscreen as there is hardly any sun. Which is absolutely wrong. Even in winters your skin needs the sunscreen. If there is one thing in my whole skincare routine I won't skip, it is sunscreen. Want to know why keep reading.  UVB are the short energy wavelengths that hit upon the epidermis of your skin(the first layer) and when it is irritated it looks red, causes swelling which we all know as a sunburn, it also causes freckles, skin pigmentation or even aging spots. The UVA rays penetrate deeper in the skin and hit the dermis layer of the skin affects the cells DNA, these cause wrinkling of the skin and makes them saggy. UVA rays have more long term damaging effect to the skin. Now the market is full of chemical and physical sunscreens. How should we decide which one we need. Chemical sunscreens work by actually absorbing the UV rays and then causes heat and those rays are removed as infrared rays from the skin. These are more blendable and light weight so one can re apply during the day and also works better under makeup. For physical sunscreens we see that it has a white cast which is caused by the ingredient zinc oxide/ titanium dioxide. These reflect the UV rays. Best part is it works immediately after applying and is beneficial for sensitive skins. But the sad part, it is visible and heavy weight and doesn't work well with makeup.
